A restyle can be summarised a a number of things. In most peoples eyes a restyle represents a significant change to alter your haircut whether that be its shape, texture, or length. To a hairdressers the time difference to cut hair is what qualifies as a restyle. In many instances those extra 15-30 minutes required are based upon the necessity to ‘put back in’ lost shape. In the vast majority of cases restyles reflect clients that aren’t cutting hair regularly and therefore once the shape is lost the cut can just take longer. Unlike a regular haircut, which simply maintains your existing look, a restyle is in effect starting from scratch (whereas regular haircuts enable your Stylist to follow the previous haircut).

Is a restyle right for you?

Not every client needs a restyle. If you think you might, here are some considerations to take on board:

When was your last haircut?: If your haircut was more than six months ago, you may need a restyle anyway (even if you want to stick to your normal haircut). Once the style has grown out, your Stylist will be cutting it back in. Generally this can take longer.

What does a restyle consultation look like?
