Abingdon-on-Thames lays claim to being Britain's oldest continuously-inhabited town — and East St. Helen Street is its prettiest corner, a run of listed buildings winding down from the Market Place to the river. Our own No. 4 has been trading since the late 1800s, when it was a corn and seed merchant's. The team parks by the Thames and walks in along the water, past the Abbey gardens, every morning.
