Every appointment carries its own consultation. Some are more detailed than others dependent on the complexity of service.

Hair colours traditionally carry two; one at the point of skin test to ensure the booked service is the most beneficial to you and whether any suggestions can be made. A second consultation then takes places on the day of the appointment.

Most other appointments carry at least one consultation.

Wisteria Avenue offer most hair services. These include but are not limited to haircuts, hair colours including highlights, balayages, ombres, tints, scalp bleaches, blow drys, perms, children’s haircuts, barbering, gents haircuts and more.

We occasionally run promotional offers and discounts for select hair colour and haircut services. 

These often carry a timeframe before they are invalid and are at the discretion of the salon.

Usually these do not run across December, however if you are unsure please check with the hair salon before booking.

We do not currently employ any Trainee Hair Stylists.

At Wisteria Avenue we perform a lot of balayages. As our most popular service, we recognise balayages come in various forms.

There are a few.

The most popular services not listed are creative colours (semi-permanent shades), some bleaching services like scalp bleaches and wedding hair bookings.

These services are by consultation only because they are often the trickiest services to schedule time for via our online bookings.

Every case usually carries with it, its own set of questions and answers.

As a rule of thumb, the K-PAK Four Step Treatment alongside a haircut is a great first step if you are concerned by condition of hair.

There is also value in speaking to one of our Abingdon hairdressers to ensure this service is right for you.

The term ‘restyle’ to many means something completely different. 

In most cases, a restyle is our most popular service due to the high volume of new clients who haven’t received a haircut in a long time!

After a few months hair tends to lose its shape following its original haircut. For this reason, a restyle is typically best as it allows your Stylist an additional 15 minutes to ensure the cut is one that fits the original brief. More often than not a Wash, Cut & Blow Dry (if it’s your first haircut in a long time) is unlikely to offer enough time.

It can also mean a minimum of two inches cut off, or it can mean a complete change of style.
