Smoothing Cream
The Smoothing Cream acts similarly to a Keratin Treatment/Brazilian Blow Dry minus the nasty chemicals you might otherwise associate with those services. The end result with the Smoothing Cream? Straight hair!

What is a pHrizzy-o-therapy treatment?
pHrizzy-o-therapy is a hair treatment that controls frizz, aids drying time and ensures hair is much more manageable without compromising on your hairs natural form. So if you already have curls… Think curls minus the unwanted frizz!
- Frizz Control: For those struggling with frizzy and unmanageable hair, pHrizzy-o-therapy ticks the right box. It tames frizz, relieves you of any unruliness and supports drying time.
- Progressive: pHrizzy-o-therapy is progressive. The more you do it, the better the results. Manufacture guidelines recommend every three months, however some clients benefit up to six months.
- Fits Your Needs: We can tailor the end result to reduce frizz, affect curl pattern against hair texture and personal preference.
What is a Smoothing Treatment?
In a nutshell, its a gentle formula that leaves your hair straight. If you don’t like your hairs natural wave, curl or texture, a Smoothing Cream will leave your hair smoother overall whereas pHrizzy-o-therapy embraces your natural hair type (minus the frizz!).
It’s a great option if you want straighter hair and value hair health. Its gentle formula is full of good stuff, no nasty chemicals and is a great alternative if you no longer wish to adopt results that offer comparable results yet are more damaging to the hair.
Should I book pHrizzy-o-therapy or a Smoothing Treatment?
We tend to ask clients one question; (assuming you have curly/wavy hair), do you like it?
If the answer is ‘yes’, the answer is very straightforward. pHrizzy-o-therapy will embrace your natural curl or wave, yet it will remove the frizz.
Alternatively if the answer is ‘no’, a smoothing treatment which offers a smoother look might be more effective. Fundamentally both treatments offer a simple lifetime benefit of circa three months, both are progressive meaning that the more you keep on top of each treatment, the better the end result.
Why are both treatments different to anything else?
Firstly it’s Vegan, it’s great for the hair and doesn’t contain any nasty chemicals that you might ordinarily associate with similar smoothing treatments. Both pHrizzy-o-therapy and the Smoothing Cream independent of one another offer progressive results and unlike some de-frizzing products, pHrizzy-o-therapy and the Smoothing CreaM leaves hair feeling great and most importantly, frizz-free!
Why is my hair frizzing?
Frizz can occur due to various factors, including genetics, humidity, hair damage, natural hair texture r over processed hair. Understanding your hair type is really important and there are options to help support hair balance and to make hair more manageable. If the issue is humidity, this can cause your hair to absorb moisture, leading to excessive frizz. Certain hair types lead to frizz due to genetics which is arguably the most common factor which in turn can be tricker to manage with ordinary hair products.
pHrizzy-o-therapy/Smoothing Treatment, Keratin Treatment or Brazilian Blow Dry. Which works best for you?
They have their benefits and drawbacks. If your primary concern is what it looks like, then pHrizzy-o-therapy isn’t designed to make your hair poker straight (it can if you need it too), however there are better products on the market for that intention. Our Smoothing Treatment is one of those offering both different and more effective end results for a straighter look.
That being said, if you like your natural curly pattern yet want to get rid of the frizz, pHrizzy-o-therapy wins hands down. In comparison, traditional Keratin Treatments may offer smoothing (or poker straight hair) but could be associated with a heavier feel. Brazilian Blow Dry, while effective, can be more damaging to the hair.

The length of appointment can vary, as can the intended result so this appointment unlike most does require some pre-appointment preparation.

These often carry a timeframe before they are invalid and are at the discretion of the salon.
